After obtaining, in 1971, a Bachelor of Arts degree at the College Jean-de-Brébeuf, Mr. Thibault subsequently received his law degree from the University of Montreal in 1975. He was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1976.

Mr. Thibault started his own law firm in 1977 and still practices law at Thibault LLP as a legal advisor, in business law, to private and public corporations as well as public bodies.

On the academic level, Mr. Thibault has taught contract law and business law at University of Montreal, University of Sherbrooke, at HEC Montréal (Executive Learning Centre) and the École du Barreau du Québec in addition to having lectured in Canada and abroad.

After completing her studies at the Collège Ste-Marceline, Mrs. Trottier has studied business administration at the Académie Ste-Anne, where she graduated in 1974.

Since 1979 she works as a paralegal in business law in a law firm and as Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer at Edilex Inc. which she is co-founder. She participated in the course of her work, design and development of legal instruments, methods and working directories of legal documents in business law that are now part of the Legal System of documentation to Edilex, which form the commercial and corporate law form, which she co-authored.

On the academic level, Mrs. Trottier has designed a training methodology and drafting of contracts, she taught for several years.
